Saban encourages all of his assistant to interview for jobs, even if they aren't interested, because it is good practice.

Majority of AU fans don't want him. However, once hired any coach will get a moderate amount of support. Hell even many Bama fans have no idea what kind of HC Smart would make, so stop being an azzhole.

Both would be a first time HC in college and Smart has the hardware that matters. Gruden is a joke and Tennessee could do way better
