I’ve have it on solid authority from within the AD that Patterson has met with Tennessee representatives 3 times in the last month. He’s kept this secret from TCU.
Uhh, don't think Tennessee can legally meet with anyone until the current coach is fired. Being that butch was fired yesterday, I doubt he's met with Tennessee 3 times in the last month.
I may be completely wrong on the legality of this so take it fwiw

More like a Louisianan showing a Texan how to properly quote in a post.

Nah, it was obvious what he was taking about.

It wasn't the proper format, period. It's lazy, sloppy, and just makes the OP look clueless.

Kinda proves the point... he didn't go anywhere.
You forgot to consider the Alleva Factor.

If this is true Joe Alleva should be kicked in the balls for not hiring him last year.

Actually, he told Hamilton to frick off after Kiffin bolted. Hart didn't call Patterson.

IF Patterson left TCU, and I very seriously doubt it, I would look at TAMU. Once upon a time, that was his dream job

A&M is everyone's dream job, including Belichick and Paul Brown

Seriously, it was. However, he is really, really tied with the TCU boosters from what I understand. Like business ventures and the like
I think he finishes there

If any coach is leaving anywhere for anyone, it's to go to A&M. It's everyone's dream job. EVERYONE wants to be A&M's head football coach, including Pete Carroll and Urban Meyer.
I was talking to my dad the other day, I told him that I wanted to be the next A&M football coach. He said, "but what about the unwanted butt sects?". "Worth it", I replied, "A&M is everyone's dream job, there's no place like College Station, unwanted butt sects and all".
"Well son", he said, brushing a tear from his eye, "you gotta chase your dreams while you can. I too, once dreamt of leading the mighty Aggies onto the field, but I didn't have the courage to leave behind my landscape business and pursue glory in College Station. I had kids, and I couldn't take that risk, now it's too late".
"I know dad, I know", I said, placing my arm on his shoulder, "but I'm gonna live that dream for the both of us".
We hugged, then there was an awkward silence, because we don't hug usually. Perhaps the A&M job opening is what we need to mend our broken relationship. I don't know.

Just telling you - it is well known in Texas that he once wanted that job. A&M was too stupid to listen.

Yeah, super secret meetings are definitely always true.

Read this entire thread, and not a single...."Pattersons grandmas half sister's hairstylst bought fireworks off the highway in Caryville for her boyfriends half nephew/son....VOL lock!!!"

Well if he wants a different challenge, now is the time to make the move. Winning a Natty at TCU is extremely unlikely. The same may be true at Tennessee. I know they won them before but this is a different era. Still If he can bring his Texas recruiting into the SEC East, which will always be a softer spot than the SEC West, it could be interesting.

I know all of the SEC homers here believe that the SEC is the pentultimate when it comes to college football and that coaches from around the country are just licking their chops to hear from any SEC school not named Vanderbilt.
Patterson is GOD in Fort Worth and the the TCU boosters will always make it worth his while to stay there. Contrary to popular belief, a lot of these coaches at established programs don't really like pulling up stakes and heading to the highest bidder. At TCU Patterson has been in a contender position for a long while and has a system in place....he is arguably the premier program in Texas....certainly the most stable.

AND...
The money angle is overplayed a bit, especially for a guy like Patterson who, like many power 5 coaches, has more money than he could spend in several lifetimes.

Nobody ever thought Chris Petersen would ever leave Boise and yet here we are.
Side note I to once dreamed of coaching at aTm but awoke to discover it was all just a nightmare.
