Robert Saleh is such a slam dunk hire so of course the Lions offer Harbaugh

Well I mean it's not like Jim didn't have lots of success as a nfl hc.

He is just an a-hole.

I wouldn’t hire a guy that has a proven track record of burning out quickly.

He does but his high is better than the lions have been in 40 to 50 years.

I promise lion fans would trade what Jim did with the 49ers for 5 years for a decade of irrelevance after.

They are irrelevant 95% of the time, so 5 good to greatbyears sprinkled in between.....yea they are taking it.

Now I'm not convinced Jim can recreate the success...but I get the interest that's for sure.

He’s a better NFL coach. Not sure if Detroit is a good option

Completely agree. IMO, Harbaugh has struggled because his player evaluations suck. Get him a GM to build the roster, so he can just focus on coaching. Win win for the Lions.

I hope this is accurate. Would be a great way to start the year.

ETA: nothing about this from the mods on 247 though

It makes sense. Harbaugh should be signed by now. He's waiting on NFL offers.

Oh Harbaugh is instantly the best coach they’ve had since Wayne Fontes

I look at Saleh as a guy that would light a fire under the fanbase. He’s a local guy, he’s of middle eastern descent that will connect with the big middle eastern population in Michigan and I think he’s a really excellent coach. I’ve been completely impressed with the 49ers play this year with all the injuries.
