Why? Howard could be a first round draft pick even without development. With Riley developing him, he could be the best QB ever to come out of LSU. Including Burrow.

Yes it was. But Walker Howard is an elite QB prospect. He’s a 5star with unlimited upside. Lincoln Riley developing Walker Howard could legitimately be better than Joe Burrow.

It's not a knock against Howard. I think he could be great. But dude, there will never be another QB that surpasses what Joe did.

I think Riley will be coaching in the NFL in 1-3 years. That guy will be coaching the Cowboys before it’s all said and done.

There have been MANY QB’s more physically gifted go through college and even more that were ranked higher coming out of high school. Hell, he was the lowest rated QB on Ohio St’s roster but NONE have accomplished what Burrow accomplished in 2019. That was a perfect storm of Brady’s offensive genius, talent surrounding burrow, awesome schedule and Burrows insane grit, work ethic, leadership and toughness. You could’ve inserted any other QB on to that team and none of them have that team eating nails and fighting through that Texas, UF, Auburn and Bama game. All 4 of those teams stayed with us to the very end but Burrow lead his team to the win with an awesome display of leadership, the one thing you can’t measure with any 4th or 5th star. By the time we got to the SEC Championship and playoffs, that team was mentally and physically not going to be beat and the rest is history.

Spencer Rattler was a 5 star #1 QB and just got benched after not really developing in college. No one cares what star you are, you’ve gotta perform in college
