+1000. Miles only went 10-2 in a year where the SECW had the best year ever and one of those losses to the favorite (and very possibly champ) in the BCSNC game.
Everyone likes to view 2008/09 as the norm about Miles and ignore 2005/06/07/10 - all 10+ win seasons. Looking back over the past 6 years, he's easily the among the top 2 coaches in the SEC.

how many times has Miles dropped less than 2 games as a HC? answer = 0
10-2 is great, but its not getting you hardware unless theres a clusterfrick scenario like 07
That said, there isnt a sure thing out there to replace him right now.
Lot of names but none that have expressed interest in LSU, have ties, or are realistic.
Nobody say Del Rio, hes not getting fired in Jax.

it wouldnt be pretty.
I think hes a good coach but not outstanding. Players seem to like him, he recruits well, and hes got balls.
He's the best option by far right now.
Unless something HUGE happens, which is dumb to bank on.

The buyout from my understanding doesn't drop unless RR is notified 30 days in advance.
I have to believe Brandon is a smart guy and has a big name lined up. He wouldn't have fired RR if he didn't have someone in place that would make alumni and boosters happy. If not, I can tell you it will be torch and pitch forks up here. No way he fired RR for Hoke. We'd rather keep RR another year, let JH get the NFL out of his system and do something next year, than have Hoke.
