I would say the head coach at another power 5 program, also his alma mater is not gettable.

Clearly Sumlin isn’t a HC.

Why do we think he’s a great OC?

Frost has his dream job and Briles is nothing more than a pimp. Wouldn’t want any of them.

Sumlin ran and installed some high powered offenses, especially at his Houston stop with Kingsbury. Just a name, and we probably don’t get that far down the list. I think O gets either of his top two choices.

It’s Callaway’s time for PGC with our next OC, and will be phenomenal to compliment the right pick

Can we rank the coaches you’ve suggested this week by order of complete ridiculousness?

Scott frost seriously how fricking drunk are you?

I think lobby will be good ,he took basically same people Rodriquez had last year and in first year took them from 81 to number 4 in total offense against an all sec schedule, and not 4 smaller schools to pad stats.

Because those are two different jobs and one does not mean success or failure at the other. There are plenty of great coordinators that were mediocre head coaches.

Key phrase “with Kingsbury”. Also had Holgorsen as OC. Nothing about Sumlin’s resume shows he’s capable of running an offense at this level.

This is true, and while there are a number of coaches this applies to, Kevin Sumlin is not one of them.

Sumlin also hasn’t been a coordinator for several years. Sound familiar?

Others have mentioned Bill Bedenbaugh the co-OC at ZeroU. Not sure you could get him but he played & coached for Leach back in the day.

Andrew Sowder at Kent State. #1 offense in the country this year. Averaging over 600 yards and 50 points per game. 324 yards passing/283 yards rushing per game.

Texas native which could help with recruiting.
