Andre Carter would be “Sunbelt shite” or what exactly are you referencing?

Napier has 3 coaches he brought from UL, 7 will be from NFL or other major programs.

I hate to see your reaction when you see that we're hosting a Sunbelt transfer OL from FIU this weekend.

Definitely don’t want to lose him. Has the potential to be a really good recruiter and a coach.

That doesn't fit the narrative some of these goofballs are desperately trying to create...Too bad this little section of the internet is the only place where that's a thing...Nobody buys the "Billy Napier was a bad hire" thing some of you are laughably trying to perpetuate...So basically, goofballs, stop trying to make "Sunbelt Billy" happen, it's not going to happen.

This is quite the thread title. I had no idea what you was trying to say. Thought this was about old Georgia/cowboys quarterback

I don't see anything that suggests he's a bad coach but he didn't do a lot recruiting here. Can't really have that kind of dead weight when your borders are getting hammered with Dumbo and Saban.

This is a weird one where I’d be fine if he stays but him leaving, even to a team we play every year, doesn’t really move the needle for me.

He'd be a good hire for Florida. I think he's a solid coach but it's difficult to fully tell with O being here. That said, he definitely doesn't light the world on fire in recruiting. They have enough recruiting on that staff where he could balance it out with a solid coach.

I mean it's highly plausible, when you work as a coach as he does I'm sure you talk as a family about the possibilities.

The Dline was on fire this year. Destroyed several olines, especially on the backend when you expect players to be playing their best.

Dude has like 90 NFL sacks. If he's just a shitty recruiter then ok, otherwise there is absolutely no reason for Kelly to get rid of Carter right now.

Yeah Andre Carter has tons of accolades at LSU. Hate to lose him. What did we do before Andre Carter? Might as well not field a team.

This is just a rumor from a text: but basically Carter is a little upset that Kelly is examining all options (Dunbar being one) and hasn’t promised him to stay. Kelly is a honest man, he told Carter this straight up.

Kelly is just looking over all options and that includes keeping Carter. Don’t understand the post from his son if his dad is not officially leaving yet.

Carter was fine, but there are better guys and definitely better recruiters out there.

Keeping Baker is a much higher priority.

Do we know for a fact he is not being retained by CBK?

I would love to keep him.

But if we were to exchange him for Charlie Partridge (Pitt) or Ron Aiken (Oregon- coaching turnover) I'd be ok with it. Because you are right, there's some good ones out there.

I don’t have an issue with Andre Carter. No idea how great a coach he is. No idea how good a recruiter. He’s been here a year.

I’d be fine if we kept him. He’s not someone folks should freak out if we lose.
