Why does everyone think Bret is getting another year all of a sudden?

I think Pruitt would because his options are limited. Big pay day with some grace while he adjusts. Kiffin would because he’s Kiffin. Ole Miss + loose boosters + ladies + Kiffin = Magic.

Yeah I'd be surprised if Pruitt took a job in the SEC west.

If Arkansas is available, Norvell actually wants that job.

Could you imagine the college poon that Kiffin would pull in Oxford? I don't see another moral liability replacing ole Hugh.

I agree with Rocky, Most likely Gundy stays put.. but if he were to leave.
1. Son goes to UofA
2. He is close with Long
3. He has a home in Arkansas
4. He and Pickens are not on the best of terms
5. If he wins at AR like at Ok State, he will have a statue built after him
6. Facilities are definitely better, have you visited stillwaters facilities, I have.. a few years ago, but still.
7. $$$$$

However, the Tboone and Gundy squabble has settled down a bit for now, but one more mediocre season and its back on.

Gundy was in talks with UofA when Petrino was hired and even more serious talks with Long when Bielema was brought on, it's not out of the realm of possibility. I think if you're Jeff Long you at least approach him and find out if that interest is still there like it's rumored to be, then you throw the bank at him.

More realistically I think we end up with Norvell, there's already a lot of smoke there and his connections with AR have been covered numerous times. Regardless Bielema is 99% done at the end of the season and will not get another year like some believe.

OM would be smart to stay with Luke at least until the sanctions are known even though their fans won't like it. If they get hammered hard then they at least have a coach with some SEC HC experience under his belt, better than the other options in that scenario. If the sanctions come down and they're not harsh they can move on with a clear name no worse for wear and attract a MUCH better candidate; it's a win/win.

UF will end up with Frost, I think that is and has been a foregone conclusion before Mac was even sent packing.

I give Tennessee and the Grumors about 10% likelihood, Mullen maybe 30%. I think they're the ones that may end up with a Morris or Brohm type that the fans feel somewhat underwhelmed by.

A&M will either be Morris or Fisher.
