Only reason i don't like jimbo is his offense.
If he had an up to date offense he would be a home run hire.

I have no idea if it is him or not. Jimbo is currently the name being thrown around so it's his turn to get discussed.
I haven't seen anything that indicates it's "signed sealed and delivered" done.

Still can't get past Saban and loses 2-3 games every year. And no I don't count 1 win over NS in a 2 loss season as a paradigm shift. Miles and O beat Saban too.
Think about where Aggie is right now. LSU and Auburn are in down cycles. They beat Alabama. They should be coasting to Atlanta right? It's their year. But oops...they've lost to Arkansas and Mississippi State.

yeah I don't really have any desire for Jimbo at this point, that ship has sailed.
He wouldn't be an awful hire, but not really what we need. I also have no desire to match for us to match his current contract at his age.
but for whatever reason people in the AD and certain boosters still love them some Jimbo. So if he wants it, I'm sure it'll probably be him

You can’t be serious mentioning these names. I’ll give you Winston even though he has some glaring issues. But the rest…
At the NFL level:
Russell = Trash
Ponder = His wife is better known for football
EJ Manuel = QB Development issues
If you were to mention these names to a 2022 QB recruit there would be a very uncomfortable silence. Outside of the 7OT game, Mond was trash against LSU. LSU shut him out in 2019, and he threw for 105 yds w/ zero TDS in 2020.

There is ZERO chance he even gets offered the job after the last go round in 2016. Apparently he pissed a lot of the Boosters/Board of Supervisors off. Prob won't even get a call.

not his problem what happens at NFL level
what matters is what they did at NCAA level
same for CUM with leak, tebow, miller, barrett and cardale jones as far as getting it done in his offenses

It is his problem when Riley, Saban, Kiffin, Sark, and Mullen are in those same living rooms talking about their QBs and what they’re doing at the next level. Caleb Williams and Bryce Young are perfect examples. The game has changed a lot since these pro-style QBs last played. Most of the kids being recruited today come from spread offenses.

I don't get why so many are turning their noses up at a Jimbo hire.
He is a clear upgrade over the clown you have now, and is a proven winner with multiple 10 win seasons and a national title.
I kinda doubt you really donate all that much, but to let your donation dry up because he's the hire seems pretty wild.

Most coaches are in upgrade over this clown.
LSU fans and backers want a hire that brings a modern offense to the table.
Kiffin would be a better hire than Jimbo. Kiffin would re-write the history books with LSU talent.

Kiffin is a great offensive coach, but he is far from a proven commodity as a head coach.
