Bobby Petrino is returning to the FBS ranks as the offensive coordinator at UNLV under new coach Barry Odom, sources tell ESPN. Petrino was head coach at Missouri State the last three seasons. He’s widely regarded as one of the top offensive minds/play-callers in the game.

Lmao poor aggies. The smells like Les Miles all over again. Float some good names and bring in someone who will just let you run the same shite you’ve always run and not challenge you on it.

No way in hell was Petrino and his ego gonna be Jimbos yes man.

Jimbo will give one of assistants the title and continue calling plays. He’s probably literally laughing hysterically at the aggies right now thinking they could “force” him to do shite.

Oh no don’t fire me and pay me 85 million to go retire!! Please don’t !!

My sources are telling me that A&M just promoted Jimbo to offensive coordinator and are paying him an additional $6 million per year

I've seen this over and over again with Gus. They will try and talk up whoever they hire as a fix, but this still ends with 3 or 4 more disappointing seasons with Jimbo fired.

Doesn't matter who they hire for OC at A&M. Jumbo will never give full control of his offense to anyone.

I would also like to believe that the money allocated for a OC, is very low due to Jimbos enormous salary.

Jimbo will end up in the exact same position. He really has no reason to change anything due to the contract.
