Pete Golding just said in his presser he is considering coaching from the box in playoffs

The Ole Miss faithful seem to be ok with this. It sure looks like a guy who isn’t ready for the big time. How bad look is that gonna be for Ole Miss during the playoffs if Pete Golding is up in the box? The insiders all want to rally around Pete and says it’s his decision. It just seems like they’re covering up on something. Back channels talking about Pete letting Joe Judge serve as the sideline coach. Sounds like Joe Judge is going to be the head coach during the playoffs. Very weird vibes coming from Oxford.

Maybe he has social anxiety

Seems Pete Golding is afraid of the cameras…he wanted no part of the press conference announcing him as the head coach

Probably wants to change as little as possible with their gameday operations with this team. I don’t think it’s a big deal. Now if he were to do it next year it would be weird af.

Not having a head coach on the sideline would be a pretty big change.

Golding is not ready for this moment

I have no idea what is going on with Joe Judge, but apparently he didn’t even want to be considered for the offensive coordinator job much less they head coaching job at Ole Miss.

Oh FFS. Golding has to act as DC in the playoffs because of the situation. If he, as acting DC, wants to coach and call defensive plays from the booth, and he thinks that gives Ole Miss the best chance at success, so be it.

Yeah it seems like the plan is for him to potentially stay in the box for the playoffs since he's still also acting as the DC. Joe Judge on sideline for clock management stuff.
Next year, when he's settled into HC and we have an actual DC, he'll be on the sidelines as the HC.
Think it gives us the best shot at winning some playoff games - consistency through the end of the season

Yeah since you’re going to cherry pick from his media call here’s the rest you left out
He said he wants to keep everything as close to what the players are used to as possible to make sure he puts the team in the best situation to win. He’s called defense from the field and from the box at ole miss so he’s open to both depending on what they think will work best.
Said after the season is over at some point in January he will gladly do the big press conference but that’s not their focus right now.

Can't mix up a jack and coke on the sidelines.

On que, here’s one of those little Ole Miss choir boys coming in here to sing the praises of the status quo.

This has some WVU Bill Stewart vibes

I don’t know what concerns me more the fact that this is actually being discussed by our head coach or that our insider fan base element pretty much seems ok with it?

Gotta agree with every decision in the copium phase.

You have your own coach to worry about. Don't you worry one bit about little Ole Miss.

Understandable. After following the Kiffin deal the last month or so, I’d absolutely cancel any subscriptions to on3 as an ole Miss fan. Those dudes are worthless and lied to yall. Flat out lied.
They’re the kinds of people who just tell you what you want to hear, no doubt
