Book it. frick it. I’ve talked myself into the fact that we’re about to get a big time coach. This is the only reason Woodward would allow the Riley rumors to get out of control. It only makes sense.

Probably, because Riley is overrated.

What would an example of a hire this big look like?

Our hire is gonna be better than a guy that's too afraid to play in the SEC?

I buy that.

I ran with the Lincoln rumors just like everyone else but my first choice was Fickell. Would absolutely be a better hire than Lincoln. Fickell would be very similar to the Jay Johnson hire.

With a CFP birth pretty much guaranteed… do you realistically believe he would entertain any of this bullshite with that going on? Just think about it…

If it’s Matt Rhule, then absolutely. Grand Slam hire.

yes. If he's not wanting to coach in the SEC, Gerry DiNardo would be a better hire.

Riley is over rated. I said it from the beginning. Kiffen is a better offensive mind and has SEC experience!!

Knowing now that Riley wanted nothing to do with this smoke in the SEC, I'm glad he went west. He knew good and well that his stock was about to plummet if he stayed at OU and they moved to the SEC.

True, but why would Matt Rhule leave his Year 2 NFL job? Why would he be fired in Year 2 of his NFL job?

Happens all of the time. Lincoln Riley did just that with USC

Sadly, I took the recruits following Riley on tweeter bait.

Y’all are doing it to yourselves again. Riley was the best realistic candidate for this job and we struck out.

Barring someone out of left field, we’re going to end up with a lesser coach.

That is a given as far as I’m concerned.

Is it possible it’s someone that’s not been mentioned here? (That actually may not be possible since so many names have been mentioned over the last 6 weeks or so, but someone not mentioned much at all?)

Color me less than impressed with Riley since Saturday.

I already had serious concerns about his defensive philosophy (or lack there of) and his team’s toughness. I see now the latter of my concerns stem directly from Riley himself.

We need a coach who wants to play the best week in and week out. Iron sharpens iron; and a yellow belly coach has no place at LSU.
