He’s from Tennessee and the only time he’s ever coached in Louisiana is his three years with ULL.

Napier fans kept saying that. Which was the worst thing to defend him about. Woody is looking for a recruiter. Which solidifies that even in the Sun belt, Nape is getting out-recruited by a guy named Blake Anderson.

This is really all it comes down to.
They've mockingly posted the "one of us" meme for the past few years, yet at the end of the day, ironic as it is, they want a Louisiana coach as the next LSU coach.
Swap Napier and Chadwell and you would see all of this enthusiasm instead directed towards Chadwell.

I didn't push hard for O but I'd be ok with Napier.

It takes all of 30 seconds to go on 247 and look at sunbelt recruiting rankings. Arkansas State has more talent because before Napier ULL was bad and covid lets teams have super duper seniors. ULL has recruited best in conference since day 1 of Napier.
