I'm watching the game right now and the players are straight up ignoring Lane. I saw him tell a player to calm down and they just ran right by him and high fived the coaches guy behind him.

Be real. He said he thinks he is staying but also has a contingency plan. That tells you he doesn’t even really know and has made alternate plans.

If he were staying, he would have signed an extension after LSU got rid of Kelly. He is gone.

He can say it’s a fluid situation and right now they’re just focused on the Egg Bowl and there will be more clarity after this game.
An AD saying he’s pretty sure the coach is staying is putting himself out on a limb to look like an idiot. I know I wouldn’t say that if it wasn’t true.

Oh, he's still trying. They cannot match LSU in NIL next year, that much is undisputed.
Ole Miss =/= LSU in brand power.
He would have to convince Lane to pass up a sure deal at LSU or continue to build the system at Ole Miss. But here's the kicker, you have to win championships to build brand recognition. Is Ole Miss a championship team this year? I think Lane even knows, deep down, they are not.

If he actually thought Lane was leaving never would he dream of saying “he believes lane is staying”
He would have said something like “we aren’t really discussing that now focused on right now yada yada”
Guys it’s obvious he is likely staying

Just heard espn announcer say basically the opposite and actually say he’s not even sure lane knows
