If that’s the case, then that’s when the AD “puts up or shuts up.” You’re offering a guy millions. Give him a very short leash to accept.
The fact that OU boosters are having to scramble for cash to match isn’t your concern.

The fact of the matter was everything I posted is true. A feeler was sent to Meyer. There was little to no response. The smoke about Jimbo was true. Either an elaborate smoke screen or an attempt by Woodward to have a contingency plan in place in the event that Riley rejected. There was so much truth to it that Jimbo even had to publicly squash everything being said.
It's all fluid and changes. It doesn't take a genius to see that.
If you don't believe it, just move on. No need to be a douchebag.

They think they can get just as good for less money. They are under the impression that Oklahoma is
”too big to fail” (quotes VERY deliberate).
They have a rude awakening coming once the actually start playing a real schedule in the SEC.

Woodward saw an opening and took it. Riley loses this week and effectively kills playoff chances. Woodward plops a huge 12.5 million offer on the table. OU boosters are in disarray. WTF, he just lost, we may not want to match 12.5 million. Riley like “I thought y’all loved me here”. Imagine a reverse senerio where this exact same thing happened to LSU with another teams monster offer. Would boosters be in agreement to match the huge offer? I think we all know the answer.

No. They won’t. Like I said, they think they can get just as good for less. They don’t think it’s the coach that makes Oklahoma successful. They just think Oklahoma will be successful regardless of who is the coach.
