Ok I’m shooting my shot on this—Luke Fickell will be the next HC at LSU

Not claiming any secret sources nor am I trolling. I’m starting to believe he and Woodward have already agreed to terms and now it’s just a waiting game with when it’s announced. Cincy’s season and the early signing day period complicate things but will be worth the compromise and wait.

Wrong , swung and miss on Riley now they scrambling . It would take 15 million plus to get Fickell at this point. I say we end up with Aranda or Cristobal.

No, because a presser was scheduled for today, and was hastily cancelled by LSU. It doesn’t mean Luke won’t be our coach, but it is not a done deal waiting for the timing to be announced.

As much as I would like to see that happen, it sure does not appear likely.

Luke Fickell was always Woodward's top choice and he has him. Delayed announcement is at the request of Fickell as his team doesn't need the distraction during their legit run for the CFB Playoff.
Nobody in the media or anywhere else has had any inside scoop. Agents for several coaches played their cards correctly, leveraging new extensions and pay raises or big contracts for new jobs for their clients, using perceived interest from LSU.
No assurance this has happened, but it is what I feel is the most likely scenario.
