Cincy DC is getting way too popular for me to believe we've got him.
I hope we do. Hes my first pick. At the same time the Arkansas improvement has led me to believe hes a hell of a DC.
Heres hoping for Freeman, but Barry > Mason

Odom and Pittman are buddies, why would he come here in a lateral move while he is still getting paid by Mizzou ?

I wanted Odom last year if we can grab him from Arky that would be awesome. I didn't think he'd be an option because Pittman is like O he needs great coordinators and Arky would outbid us since we have a limited budget.

Somebody has got to explain the appeal of Barry Odom to me
Allowed 48 PPG over the Pigs’ final four games, 527 YPG in that span.
I thought LSU just fired a coordinator with that recent resume?

Agreed, they started well but really dropped off as the season went on. People stopped paying attention after about the third game.

Supposedly O wanted Odom last year, but he had already taken the Arky job before Aranda left and he didn’t want to back out on his deal with Arky.

I think that was more not wanting to leave his buddy that just gave him a job the month before. I think if O wants and they offer him again he would take it. I think it would be a good hire and would be a long term hire.

I really like Odom and think he would do well here, but we will have to come with the cash to get him. Arkansas will probably go pretty high to keep him there after a solid first season with a roster that got its arse kicked weekly last year.
I’m sure we can pay enough to get him, but will we over other options? And even if we do, does he want to make a move like that? If he and Pittman are tight, money may not be enough. Who knows.
