One who has the best recruits in his backyard and doesn’t have to convince them to come to Eugene Oregon. One who knows how lucrative the Alabama job is. One who knows he’ll be a legend and have a statue if he wins a championship? Do y’all really think these football coaches are Pussy’s or something? They believe in their ability.

Urban Meyer would actually be interesting. Although, I don't think Urban's heart could last with all the blondes down in Alabama.

Which coach in their right mind, at a place like Oregon, would want to follow saban That’s like smoke following skip First coach that’s takes the helm will never be the guy
I understand the thought process from the outside looking in of “don’t follow the man”, but honestly a coach that has that thought process isn’t the right guy either.
Honestly, Alabama getting the do-overs or “benefit of the doubt” isn’t going to stop because Saban is gone. Their recruiting is not going to fall off a cliff overnight. It’s arguable that Oregon could actually see a downturn moving to the Big Ten. So yeah, Lanning taking the Alabama job is actually a no-brainer for him.

If I were a Bama fan there isn’t a name on that list that I’d be happy with following up Saban.

There isn’t a Saban out there - Kirby is close I guess but he’s not leaving

Gonna be Dabo with Clemson faltering recently and the ACC getting stiffed this year in the CFP.
If Dabo was still rolling at Clemson, he would stay.

Can you imagine the pressure to succeed on whoever is unfortunate enough to get that job?

What is the Pat Shurmur connection for him to be 9/1 odds? I don’t get it.

Lanning has a massive buyout
$20 million, I’m sure Alabama can somehow find a way scrape that together if he’s the target.
