AD Byrne said there would be several names floated around but to not believe it unless it came from him and the next time he spoke, he would be naming the new coach. He did the same thing with Nate Oats who many “ insiders” were not aware of . I believe him. Will prolly be a name nobody predicted

How does Billy Napier have better odds than a bunch of thos below him, mainly someone like Mike Norvell. What about Billys 2 years in florida make you think he is a hot commodity

Would be the new poster child of failing upwards.
Lane Kiffin was once that guy but has since developed into an elite coach

Seems like it's Lanning. A lot of smoke that it will leak tomorrow

Maybe it's because Norvell MIGHT say no
Billy would be a good buffer between Saban and the real successor.

Oregon board has confirmed that Lanning is not in Tuscaloosa and hasn’t been there.
They’re mods are also doubling down that he stays at Oregon.
What is it with Oregon and their inability to keep coaches? Why do they leave so quickly? Especially with what Nike can furnish. Doesn’t seem too difficult to recruit there either. What gives?

Lanning has a massive buyout
How massive? If they decide Lanning is their man, I don't think any amount of buyout would matter to Bama.

Oregon is a beautiful place but it’s also west coast with a bunch of looney idiots. I think I’d rather be in Gump land than way out there. Lanning is making 7 and Saban was making 11+ with contract going up to 13 mil.

20 mil

16-1 is good odds on norvell. He hates the acc.
Everyone is overlooking Norvell. With the dumpster fire going on in the ACC between FSU and the Conference, now is the time for coaches to get out of there. It is going to be several years before that lawsuit is settled. If I were a betting man, which I'm not, I'd put my money on Norvell. I think the smoke screens are working too, since no one is even considering him to be the primary target.

Feldman said he’s heard it’s considerably more than that.
