O is gonna promise Alleva that he will bring the best and brightest offensive coordinator into the program. Yada, yada, yada about how different the offense will look next yr and Alleva is gonna fall for it. Then we will have to wait until after signing day before we find out who the offensive coordinator is gonna be. Then all of O's buddies will politely turn him down and we will be stuck with the toss dive again for next yr. And we will be stuck with O because the decision will have already been made.

If O has an OC in his pocket, it's best he pulls it out this weekend.

It's not gonna be O's fault. It's gonna be Alleva's for fricking up the Jimbo/Herman offers.

That can't happen. Assistant coaches don't change jobs until after signing day. No matter who O says he can get it won't be for certain. Unless he has another Pete Jenkins that could come in and take over the offense

Why would Kiffen leave a program that gets the best offensive players in the nation for a lateral move?

O has to constantly surround himself with good coaches. Herman you just need Aranda and our recruiting team.

The timing you suggest is simply not true. Go back and look at the timing of the change in our DC last year.

LSU[edit]

On January 1st, 2016, it was announced that Aranda was hired to replace Kevin Steele as defensive coordinator for the LSU Tigers.

Most coordinators don't announce changes before bowl games, but there is ample time for recruits to recognize and likely meet with their new assistant coaches before signing day.

If it's O, I'd never be cool with that. Everyone forgets the Fla debacle so quickly for the hometown boy.

It would be a mistake.

You cant grade O off that one game. Thats not fair to him at all.

Its still the same Miles/Cam playbook. It's still Miles/Cam QB recruits. O is essentially being asked to play someone else's crappy booray hand. You can't completely throw out the whole playbook and draw up a new one mid-season. He has no choice but to keep BDP until the season is over.

As far as the Florida game. Special Teams! ST has cost us big-time over the last 4 years and the Florida game was no exception. The fumbled snap on the FG cost us 3, the fumble on the return cost us a possession and another 3. Guise fumbles on the 5 yard line THEN forgets the play on the last play of the game. If he does what hes supposed to do, he walks in and LSU wins.

So this whole Florida game debacle argument holds no weight. Nick Saban, Paul Bear Bryant and Vince fricking Lombardi would have lost that game giving all that.

And another thing. If you think any of these homerun hires out there aren't gonna lose games like that or get blown out at times, youre setting yourself up for a mega melt.
