I think people do for the most part. I don’t want Napier but acknowledge he’s a solid candidate but I also don’t want him jammed down my throat

Yea it's fine to not have Napier as your first or second option, but don't act like he wouldn't succeed at the P5 level. Dude is a good coach. It's one of those situations where there are a few good coaches on the market and if we get one we won't get the other. Will be sad to see him go but will be happier with Riley or Dave. By the same token, if we are so f*cking stupid that we let the whole ULL "little brother" school shite blind us and we end up with BOB or Stoops over Napier then we deserve everything we have coming to us.

The narrative that he’s “turned down jobs” is a bit overblown here. More like he interviewed and was turned down from those jobs but those programs allow coaches to “save face” by saying they turned the job down. Much like every place has done with Venables.

Stop with all the not creative names for people who like any particular candidate. LSU fans need to stop taking sides on our coach this time. I've seen 17 years of it, and it is holding LSU back a little. Whoever it is, i'd love to see what LSU can become if even 80% of the fanbase gets behind the coach, instead of the usual 50/50, or less.

Maybe he's comfortable where he is and willing to wait for the right opportunity?
Success in college coaching has as much to do with the school as it does with the coach.
I could switch coaches and schools and the results would be extremely different.
Do I think Napier was offered every job that has been rumored? No, but I believe he's been offered 2-3. I firmly believe if he would've agreed to Auburn's personnel requirements, they would've hired him. Maybe South Carolina as well.

Count me in that camp- think Napier is a good coach and has a future in P5, and I wouldn't be too disappointed if he was hired at LSU (a little, but not alot). But we're on to bigger fish at this moment.

Word out of Lafayette is he already turned down the LSU job, look for that to come out once he accepts UF job. I truly think that LSU makes a desperate push for Kelly to hold Walker Howard commitment.
We know Jimbo and Riley turned down the job.

Jordy can play favorites. It's his show and he's the boss. If it doesn't align with your thinking, he's stupid or sucking Napiers dick etc. No one can have an opinion anymore. I dont think it would be a bad hire, although I prefer others over it.

Its Napier or Aranda. That's what we are down to, IMO. I think everybody else will turn down Woodward and that may even include Aranda. Napier needs to be locked up by Sunday Morning and we have to be prepared to outbid Florida in a big way for him.
