If LSU loses Saturday the O bandwagon will
empty.

I fully expect LSU to beat Bama this season and everyone high on O but I worry about sustaining it going forward
LSU probably has the least pressure most loose and a very talented team at home at night against them in the past 5 years
It's really a nice position to be in

I like O but the whole Ponamsky/104.5 local media campaign is ridiculous and I'm getting sick of hearing it. It's so transparent.
This is not the first time there have been spin job/campaigns come out of the football ops building and directly to the local media either.
Some of the same shite happened back when Miles was here and you could tell they were fed something and Gordy passed on the talking points and they all followed right in line.

What do yall want the media to do? O has done everything right so far so there is nothing negative to talk about.
Well they could start by talking about the top candidates objectively. Gordy sounded like a schoolgirl crushing on the high school quarterback last night. I usually enjoy listening to their show, but I had to turn it off because he was so over the top in his support of O. When people go out of their way like he did last night, there's usually an alterative motive which is not good for a BOS member.
He compared O to Pete Carroll and that should be the last thing people should do. USC is still reeling from the sanctions because of him.

they're so in the tank for him it's disgusting, and WWL is worse.
they all know him so the conflict of interest is monumental.
you can tell how obvious it by how defensive they get when someone calls them out on it.

Alleva's job and credibility are on the line. As much as people don't like him, I have to think he's going to do his due diligence in the search. I don't believe the Alabama or bust theory. If O tanks the rest of the season he's not getting the job.
As for O, if he's as bad as you all say there is no way he gets through the rest of the season without 2 more losses so there's nothing to worry about. You've said it yourself, the 3 wins were against horrible teams so you must be confident he can't coach them through the meat grinder that's ahead.
On the off chance that O miraculously runs the table then . . .

what meat grinder?
it's the most difficult part of the schedule but it's not that difficult.
Bama is obviously going to be tough, but none of A&M, Florida or Arkansas are particularly daunting. The SEC sucks.

In 1 month we will know who our coach is. It can't come fast enough.

According to the ESPN RPI it's the toughest remaining schedule in CFB.

We get it, you love O because he's "friends" with all you guys and he hired one of your buddies.
It's not rocket science, he runs a transparent program and it gives them a lot to talk about. It's good for their job. You would do the same in their shoes, especially considering everything coming out of TAF and the OPs building has been objectively positive. It's not like O is in there killing hookers and they're going on the radio saying those hookers had it coming, the guy is winning and is taking the steps necessary to run a program for the long haul and it's impressing people.

This is what's frustrating. It's the lack of objectivity on either side. O still has a lot to prove to even be considered. His past requires him to deliver more than just satisfactory results.
On the other side, if he beats Bama (Bama wasn't really that good or they just had an off night). He beats Florida and A&M, Florida has no offense and we always beat A&M. Wins SEC and goes to playoff? It was a down year for CFB so it doesn't really count.
Gotta love it.

You want them to rip on O now?
Also I'm fairly certain Hannagriff wants Herman.

A&M might be good but I would be really surprised if Florida doesn't plunge after losing a minimum of two more games. Florida just hasn't played anyone - and has still lost to Tennessee. Don't get me wrong, as a LSU fan I understand a good defense and a nonexistent offense can still win you 8 or 9 games in the regular season - but I will not nod along in agreement when people opine that the Gators are a top 10 team.

LSU plays three top 3 top 10 teams over the next four games. But, it "not that difficult". You must really have a lot of faith in Coach O.
I can't think of any other team playing 3 top 10 (not ranked) but top 10 teams over four games. If there were any I doubt very seriously the fans would discount it as not being that difficult. Bama fans, even with Saban, wouldn't just blow it off.

If we have to settle for a position coach who failed something terrible the last time he had full control of a program and who hasn't had that full control again in over a decade, we can all stop with the LSU is one of the best jobs in college football.
But with Alleva being in charge, who the hell knows what will happen. He fricked up the Jimbo shite last time and did such a great job with his basketball hire. I have a lot of confidence with him pulling the trigger.

Florida is complete garbage and A&M has played no one other than Bama and they got their poo pushed in.

A good coach is suppose to motivate and let his assistants coaches coach and build a good program through recruiting. I think coach o can do that
Herman- my only issue is if his comes to lsu, will he only be here a short time.
Fisher- Has all the makings of being a good coach at lsu it's been noted that fsu wasn't willing to spend on assistant coaches, lsu will be willing to spend on assistants

They've run that into the ground since Miles was fired, there's nothing more to say about Jimbo and Herman. Unless you want to talk about both of them losing games they shouldn't. O is the story right now and he should be.

Coach O has done a MUCH better job with this team than Les Miles did. And it's not even close.
We've spread the ball around and scored a ton of points.
We see the results / difference every game. This game will be no different.
Now, I listen to 104.5 in the mornings, occasionally at lunch and in the evenings. They are praising O for the job he's done..... BECAUSE HE'S DONE A GREAT JOB SO FAR
