Some of you people are so critical and miserable....like you're never happy, regardless.

We wanted Miles fired because he sucked and had sucked the life out of the program.

Alleva fired him.

Now you want a coach that can win a National Championship, or two. That can beat Saban and put LSU back at the top of the SEC.

Well, Coach O was handed the "interim" responsibility of leading our program until the end of the season.

And Coach O has LSU looking like a BEAST on both sides of the ball!

ENJOY THE REST OF THE SEASON and let this thing play out.

Our chances of winning out are soooo much better now than they were a month ago.

Appreciate what's happening right now.

We have a real shot to beat Bama this weekend because we have a head coach that is going to listen to his high-paid assistants and try like hell to utilize 100% of his talent while doing so.

It's the latter without out a doubt. The fan base falling in love with O is a perfect scenario for Alleva because he gets off cheap and it it's what the fans want. I wouldn't agrees with the hire unless he won out and wins a national championship.

Larry Coker won a NC too.

If Alleva wanted him gone and it seems clear that he did, he should have fired him at the end of the A@M game and not pushed this shite into another season.

Alleva fricked up the Jimbo shite just liked he did the Jones hire. He gets no applause for wasting ten months before doing something he wanted to do in November 2015.

I hope the man goes undefeated in his interim position, but we haven't played a team that had a defense with a pulse. Can we wait until we do before throwing out beast BS.

Only on the rant is going 3-0 against shite completion cheered, but winning 80% playing over ten years while playing a top ten SOS on a regular basis pissed on.

Coach O has done a MUCH better job with this team than Les Miles did. And it's not even close. We've spread the ball around and scored a ton of points. We see the results / difference every game. This game will be no different. Now, I listen to 104.5 in the mornings, occasionally at lunch and in the evenings. They are praising O for the job he's done..... BECAUSE HE'S DONE A GREAT JOB SO FAR

The fact that these two positive and accurate posts by an LSU fan are downvoted illustrates the insanity that's going on right now.

The DP hire and allowing them access to practices insured the media would be in the tank for him.

Culotta has gotten borderline pathetic with it.

It all depends on how you look at it. The transparency is obviously going to garner praise from the media, but it also sets you up for scrutiny. If O and staff look incompetent there's going to be at least one media guy that calls him out.

I've already said it. If O is incompetent, the rest of the season will show it. You have nothing to worry about. If he tanks, the coaching search will lead elsewhere. Even Alleva isn't dumb enough to not be in discussions with candidate options right now and the latest media reports indicate that.

If I've learned anything from this board it's we have to pick our guy right now and viciously defend him while laughing off anyone else as a terrible hire. Get with the program.

Herman- my only issue is if his comes to lsu, will he only be here a short time.

That's your only issue?

The fact that he has only been a head coach for 1 1/2 years doesn't concern you? He will only be taking over as HC of the LSU football program.

It's not an issue to you that over the last four games he has gone 2-2 while losing to inferior opponents?

No issue, that his program is getting much worse as time goes on, instead of staying the same or getting better?

Where does Moscona stand on all of this? I only get to hear his podcast occasionally (I'm outside BR), but I do know that right after Miles was canned he came out and said that you can't fire Les and turn around and hire a second or third tier replacement (said he would almost blow a gasket if someone like Fedora was announced in December). Has he now done an about face and jumped on the "O" train? If so, it will tell me (with apologies to Donald Trump) that "the fix is in".

wow....talk about bias. I listened to Hanny and Gordy and they did not "rip" on Herman. Gordy just brought up that Herman practices his players hard and that it may not work in the SEC. Hanny retorted that he believed Herman was smart enough to know that he'd need to tweak his practice philosophy in the SEC. They both agreed that O had done everything right so far but that the next few weeks would determine his odds for being named permanent head coach. Gordy also mentioned that Herman's head coaching resume was a really small sample size albeit a very impressive one. They didn't plug O for the job and they didn't rip on Herman. it was just talk show discussion.

All correct statements.

Well I quit listening around 9:30 because I got sick of hearing the love fest for O. Not hanny, but Gordy's views were the definition of bias. Never said a positive thing about herman and picked out some practice bs as a reason he had issues with herman.

Then all the talk about O was glowing. Even compared the practices to those at USC with Pete Carroll. O running around high fiving players. The last thing anyone needs to bring up is USC because they are still reeling from sanctions under Carroll.

There's an obvious media bias with the morning guy and with Gordy. Something is fishy when people are pushing that hard. This doesn't instil a lot of confidence in the BOS when you have one of them on the radio gushing for a candidate.

Matt has been coy on this subject since the Ole Miss game.

It's not rocket science, he runs a transparent program and it gives them a lot to talk about. It's good for their job. You would do the same in their shoes, especially considering everything coming out of TAF and the OPs building has been objectively positive. It's not like O is in there killing hookers and they're going on the radio saying those hookers had it coming, the guy is winning and is taking the steps necessary to run a program for the long haul and it's impressing people.

Thank you. And all of these people tripping out because he's being compared to Carroll need to stop with their bullshite. Comparing his practices and coaching to Carroll in no way implies that O would do the same here.. Jesus F*cking Christ..

O has done a good job so far, but let's not give him the job after three wins against two terrible teams and one so-so five-loss team that will have to scrap to go to a bowl game.

As for the local media, considering Ott and Ponamsky know O and Ponamsky now works for O, you're a fool if you don't think personal feelings aren't coloring professional judgments.

I'm not ready to hand O the job even if LSU beats Bama. What happens if LSU beats Bama, then lays another egg against Arkansas? And I think it's foolish to base O's candidacy as head coach off these eight games (counting a bowl). There's more to whether he can handle the job than just his record as an interim coach. Can he manage the program on a long-term basis? His time at Ole Miss is a resounding no, and while I think people can grow as a coach, it's a reach to think it will happen with O just because failed head coaches usually are failed head coaches in their next stop at the same level.

USC knew Orgeron better than anybody given how long he was an assistant there and then his work as an interim coach. Why didn't they hire him after his successful interim gig if it was blatantly evident he was the right guy for the job (in before "because Pat Haden was an idiot")? Maybe because they didn't think he was the right guy.

Some people are better as assistants and are not fit to be good head coaches. I just think LSU can do better than Orgeron, even if I don't trust Alleva/Alexander, et al to pull off a better hire.

There was no they in the USC decision.
