Not letting O pick his own OC

O should have full autonomy to pick his own OC. He is the guy that has to work with him(them), so let him choose. If the Admin shoves someone down his throat then he can blame any personality issues, production issues, etc. on the fact that it wasn't his guy... then we could be faced with the same problem next year.
Let him choose his guy, if it works great and if it doesn't then fire both him and Alleva. Live and die with your decisions.
Great organizations hire great people and let them do their jobs. Great leaders set visions, directions, culture, etc. while overseeing how the people the hired are implementing those things. If you have to micro manage from the top down then you don't have a great organization.
And to give full disclosure: I want O to be successful because I do think he is probably a pretty good guy based on what people and players say about him, plus his success means LSU is successful. However, I really don't think he has the professionalism, experience, or temperament for this job. I think it's too big for him unfortunately. Nothing personal, just observing what he says, how he acts, and what he does. I hope I am wrong.

That's what he did last year.

He did that last year. Worked great

He did. Didn’t like his philosophy, challenged him to a shirtless throw down, and then had his chrony spread some fake rumors about him before showing him the door.

You're bracing for Ensminger if you let O choose

Like O did with Canada?
O wants to meddle in the responsibilities of his subordinates why can't JA.
JA is the head athletic director, they need to do what he wants to do.

I don't want Alleva making the decision either.
Neither he or O know wtf they are doing.

I say let the rantards choose. They seem to know a lot more than any coach at lsu. We’ll have great success because they have done their research. Lsu doesn’t have access to google.

Poor O can’t order off a menu unless there are pictures much less choose an OC

Well, some have suggested that Canada wasn't O's choice..not sure if true or not, but everyone can have a mulligan (even though it's an expensive damn mulligan). Let O and Joe live or die by their sword. When an organization is there providing resources and letting the coaches do their job, it creates an atmosphere where great coaches want to be. If the leadership is constantly meddling or dictating hires, the best of the best will steer away.

You ready to give JA a mulligan and try to get a good head coach?

Actually he has already screwed up enough hires, this should be the end of him.

Sappy all the lame excuses people made for O fricking with the offense to Joe fricking with Football staff
Joe’s job is also on the line so he should be able to meddle as much as he wants blah blah blah
