If nothing is announced today does that mean Sark is the target? Float a few names until Atlanta loses Saturday.

I don't think so. The fact that Canada hasn't been released yet, tells a much bigger story.

Something is holding that up.

It could be the negotiation of the buyout.

It could be that Orgeron doesn't have the buy in from the admin to take on Canada's buyout and then spend money on another OC.

I tend to think it's the latter and that Orgeron has been trying to manipulate the situation by attacking Canada behind the scenes and now, floating a big name. In other words, while it may ultimately be Sark, there are a lot of things that need to happen before we get there. It's not as simple as waiting for the weekend.

Sark has a job.

Any slim chance he had of leaving it evaporated when the Falcons made the playoffs.

I agree. I think he was the initial target, and may have even been the reason this whole shitstorm started. Sark was on the hotseat, O wasn't happy with Canada, and because of the "altercation" earlier in the season O knew he could take Canada out, and replace him with his buddy. Win win. Plus he expected Canada would find another job on his own.

Then Sark makes the playoffs so his job is safe for another year. O is left with his dick in his hand and doesn't know what to do. Firing Canada for cause is a lot different that him leaving for another job. No way this ends well unless...

Enter Kendall Briles to save the mofo day.

I think he's going to be fired unless they get to the championship game.

Why does everyone assume O likes Sark? Just because he's tight with Kiffin doesn't mean he has a similar relationship with Sark. You realize Sark did get the job at USC over O.

This right here may be why he would want to hire Sark as his OC...now O is over Sark because Coach O is the head coach and his coaches will do what the head coach wants to do, or some bs like that...

Why does everyone want Sark anyway? I personally am not impressed with him at all.

If Saban wanted him then he must be amazing. Is that how it works?

Sark does not appear to be happy in Atlanta. His future back to a HC May Be via a strong college OC job.

And Sark only lasted one game. Now that's nailing it.

If that is Os thinkng, he is as dumb as his haters say he is. Personal vendettas is not conducive to a long tenure at his "dream" job.

TL:DR = ensminger

Although at the same time I don’t know why joe would be slow walking this thing since he is just as tied to it as Orgeron. If Orgeron is leaking defamatory stuff about Canada it’s just another illistration why he is not cut out to be the head guy. He is so defensive and insecure in every interview he doesn’t give off confidence and doesn’t seem like a leader. He’s just not cut out for the job.

Also to people on this board really think lane kiffen is trying to give away his OC if he thinks he is any good ??? This isn’t mister Rogers or Andrew Carnegie or Tom Landry it lane freaking kiffen.

Reports were that Sark and Saban had disagreements on par with Saban's disagreements with Kiffin and had already agreed to part ways.
