No matter what some LSU fans say, Les could do far better than lowly purdue

A guy whose biggest fault is that he couldn't beat Bama is easily qualified for a job at a school like Notre Dame or Oregon.
Les is crazy not to wait and see bigger options.

I mean, apparently not?

Not his biggest fault.
Complete squandering of talent every year.
Couldn't beat the Arkansas of the world.

Les is lucky lowly Purdue was there for him.

If it is a big school, they'll regret it. I think Purdue would be perfect for him.

I didn't think he'd get another job tbh.

That may be true, but they will give him some time to right the ship, and if he can, he can pretty much name his next gig. Purdue has never been known for sustained success. Just getting 8-10 wins there will be seen as a success.

In 2011, 12, & 13, we had a Saban problem. Since then, it has been something else.

I agree with you HailHail.
I guarantee that Harbaugh and Meyer will have some increased recruiting competition, at the very least.

Check out the thread on the More Sports Board. He is going to Michigan when Harbaugh goes to the Green Bay Packers.

Another one who doesn't get it

his biggest fault is that if he finished out the season here he'd probably have ended up at .500 in the SEC over the last 4 years

Same -still surprised if he gets one

ehhh, i doubt it. expectations are too high for a retread.

or Oregon.
...
lost me here. If you think a program who is used to recruiting the highest level Cali athletes for a high powered offense to compete in the PAC12, you sir are on some strong shite. He has 0 connections out West. but i've always thought you a shitty poster, so it makes sense. Purdue isn't a bad fit. I mean their expectations couldn't get any lower. He can go in, turn the program around to be a .500/year program...at best. And then retire a fricking hero in 5 years.
