re: No matter what some LSU fans say, Les could do far better than lowly purdue

Les is at a weird age where he probably has something left in the tank, but isn't young enough to expect a long-term tenure, even if he's successful. So I understand why bigger programs would shy away from him.
Purdue might be a good fit. They went for the promising, young coach for their last hire and it was a total disaster. Les at least brings some instant legitimacy and excitement to a moribund program.

That was far from his biggest fault
We have 10 other losses that weren't to bama since 2013

Calling Hailhailtomichigan a shitty poster is a bit much.
Ok so you disagree, but c'mon.

Maybe he likes the fit lower expectations

His biggest fault was not that he couldn't beat Bama it was that he was a stubborn fool who refused to realize he was wrong and he never learned from mistakes.

You obviously have already forgotten how pitiful his offenses are with elite players. Just imagine what they would be with players that Purdue recruits.

He'd be able to Recruit better player for sure. More 3-4 stars than you think.

Les would be a retard to take the Purdue job.
Baylor, Oregon, Notre Dame, Texas, Florida State, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, etc.
Anywhere from the majority to all of these jobs could be available once the music starts. No matter how much LSU fans like to hate on him, he has a tremendous résumé and would be a great hire for someone on paper.
Darkhorse Miles landing spot: Colorado
Miles has coached in Boulder and has an affection for the area. If Mike MacIntyre is lured away from CU, I think Les would love the opportunity to take over there.

Les deserves a job where he can finish his coaching career on his terms and in a happy and enjoyable settings. Purdue is a class school just like Les. I wish nothing but the best for Les.

He won't recruit Purdue like he could LSU.
Less local talent, less resources, less money to pay the young recruiters he had here.
His style of football absolutely doesn't work without talent.

No, the market dictates Miles worth. And I'm certain his agents (including the well-regarded new one he recently retained) have a much better sense of his prospects in that market than you do. If he takes the Purdue job, it's because he was unlikely to be offered any better job.

GOAT Miles scenario is to end up at Baylor with Sark and Strong as his coordinators.
Strong stays in conference to stick it to Texas. Waco is a dry county right? Perfect for Sark

Agreed. Ron Zook recruited well enough to get fricking Illinois to the Rose Bowl.
Now, I'm not saying Les will take Purdue to the Rose Bowl, but recruiting will improve. Being in the Big Ten West will help, too.

ND or Oregon will not hire Les Miles

He only won a title with players Saban evaluated, and still somehow lost two games that season.

I wish Miles luck, but he is just a speck in the rear view mirror as far as I'm concerned.

Not a lot of big programs are in the market for a coach in his 60s who insists on running an archaic offense. He'd be lucky to get the Purdue job.
