Not sure about the AD but is there a single person that doesn't think the new President is Rousse from McNeese?

McNeese to LSU is way too big of a jump, especially from an athletics standpoint.
The Kelly hire didn't pan out, but we'd be way better off with Woodward or someone who's run a power four school's athletic department.
Landry needs to stay out of this.

McNeese to LSU for an AD and Pres seems like a MUCH bigger step up than for a HC like Sumrall going from Tulane to LSU.

If the guy is good at talking and catering to people, it shouldn't be that big of a deal. Mingle with donors, keep coaches happy, make good hires, and you're golden.

I hope this is not true!! Rousse is a great guy but he is from a schoold that has a fourth of LSU's enrollment and probably a tenth of LSU's total athletic budget. This guy would be in way over his head! This would be a step backwards!!!!!

How about our last president? Tate was never a president at any level. He was the first hire with no presidential experience since 1972.

Tate was VP and Provost at South Carolina. That is a more prominent position than President of a small school, imo.
In the end, it doesn't matter what we think. If Landry really wants his guy, then it's Rousse.
Like I mentioned. There is a lot of smoke that LSU is going to split the president and chancellor positions. Which would indicate Rousse as LSU System President and maybe Dalton as LSU Chancellor.
eta: Regarding the AD selection. LSU needs an athletic director who will has a plan and is prepared to handle the revenue sharing issue that will come from running an athletic department of LSU's size.
