Is there any other position coach paid anywhere near that much?
I'm all about paying him a bonus for his Interim job. Make it a really good one but 1 mill for a position coach is redivision.

You guys know Orgeron is my first choice but handwriting is on the wall.
The money to keep Orgeron on staff is Alleva's answer to fans who want Orgeron as the coach and reward for this season

Most OC's and DC's aren't even paid a million. It all depends on how badly Alleva and Co. want O to stay on, and what they feel he is worth in whatever position Jimbo offers him.

If Orgeron stays on the staff after being passed over for head coach, it won't be because LSU offered him a ton of money, it will be because he wants to coach at LSU. I don't think you need to pay him 1.5 million.
