No coach wants Nick the Dick Saban looking over their shoulder while trying to run a team. Rees would put up with it though. Good luck

Is it true Saban is going to have an office and still be hanging over the coaches shoulder? If so, then they should hire a guy like Rees. What established coach would want that? I feel like as a head coach that would not be cool.

I don't expect he will always be around the program, because I think I heard he wants to do TV and other things, but that would still be awkward.

No shot in hell. The longshot will be Schumann.

The main reason I'm unsure this would happen is because Bama could hire Freeman as HC and extend Rees as OC and make him highly paid, which would secure good direction on both sides of the ball. Freeman brings the recruiting piece that Rees is unproven at.

That is what he told Rece Davis in his interview. And I actually agree with your Rees comment, but it would have been much more preferable for him to have some more seasoning. Given how great a strategic thinker Saban is, it seems like all this is by design.

Rees' name leaked for an interview as a bone to throw to him for coming to Bama last season after Saban promised him he would be at Bama for several years. It's nothing more than that.

He doesn't come out of this looking too good after leading nothing but 4 and 5 stars to the #56 offense in the country.

Saban doing him a solid here.

IF this is true, no proven coach would deal with this. Except Kiffin. He actually seemed to enjoy being Saban’s whipping boy.

Are you sure Shula would even take the job? No one else seems to want it. Lololololololol
