I wouldn't expect and activity with the Jet until at least 11pm, assuming Canes is open till 11.

unless the agreement between the two schools is to keep everything silent until we are ready to announce? Maybe they don't want to let the media in on anything...then again that big flippin plane with a huge Block M on the tail isn't doing us any favors!! I have no idea anymore!!!!!!!!!

Brandon will not rush to hire somebody if this falls through; Tressel wasn't hired until January 19th. His rhetoric is clearly geared towards being more concerned about the long term than it is saving this year's recruiting class.

I honestly don't believe Alleva when he says that at this point. Maybe MICHIGAN hasn't contacted him... but someone associated with them has said something I am sure. I also think they are trying to keep the media completely out. I think they want everyone speculating until something is announced.

maybe hes saying it to keep it out of the media that he is searching for a new coach? maybe hes trying to line one up and have one ready to go following Miles announcement?

Very true. It could be Alleva stalling, because if Brandon hasn't said anything to LSU about Miles yet, the Michigan fanbase is going to shoot his plane from the sky.

Its known that the two parties are interested in talking. So now we "know" that the official Michigan plane is here. I guess that means they couldn't get their videoconferencing working and had to meet face to face. I see the significance now.

Nothing much. We believe it is going to stay overnight, and the consensus is that that is not a good sign for us. We also discovered a small Piper left Ann Arbor and landed in Hilton Head Internation, just 15 minutes before the plane with the big arse M on the tail left Hilton Head for BR. Lloyd Carr supposedly has a home in HH.
Other than that... nothing.

Let the plane and the Michigan folks wait until the terms of the contract regarding any discussion with him are met. I hope Miles didnt set up this talk without reviewing his contract. LSU wants to control any event not Miles or Michigan. Let Miles make his decision with Michigan but so long as he is paid by LSU he needs to respect his employer. His time management skills may have reappeared.

LSU will have Miles committed to LSU for several years by 10:00 tomorrow morning. That is my guess. I would have to think he would not show up to the Peterson press conference if he was leaving. That would be a dick thing to do.

how is that a dick move if he wants to support one of his players even if he is leaving?? I thought the consensus on here was that Miles genuinely cares about his players. It makes sense that he would want to be there to support him regardless of where he goes to coach. Either way if Miles stays or goes, press is going to make it about Miles.

Uhhh no it wouldn't. He could just announce it later. It would be a dick move to not show up.
