I keep hearing this line about Steve, he should know his shite he's been around football for a very long time. How many schools in the SEC would legitimately want him as their OC though?

No offense to Esminger. He's a great guy and coach, and I know he forgot more football than I will ever know. But...
I wouldn't hire him to run a HS offense.

I have seen HS offenses more explosive/creative than what LSU runs. Look at Dabo, goes and hires a HC from HS to run his offense and doesn't miss a beat. Gus Malzahn, Hugh Freeze, are former high school coaches etc. HS offense has taken off and the colleges have followed suit.

I just think O/Steve are set in their ways. Just like Miles. And this is going to get ugly.

We've been horrifically abysmal on offense for so long, but the supposed secret to the turnaround is the tight ends coach that has already been on the staff for 7 years.

Right.

Sorry, but that's simply not possible. He has to sign the contract knowing what he knows and that's on him. If he's OK being the latest proof of the Peter Principle, then he can suffer the consequences.

players will start going to surrounding teams THEN he will be let go and we will have to completely rebuild with the deck stacked against us. Saban just showed the world with the refs help he plays freshmen in big time ball and wins...we show we hire good ole boys unqualified

Man, people really think LSU is going to lose to Miami?

We played 6 teams with a pulse this year and lost to 4 of them.

Miami will likely be a preseason top 10 team.

Yes, I think we lose to Miami

majority of our media are too afraid of getting press credentials pulled for asking basic but real questions.

they serve up the softballs and Orgeron hits em out the park.

Everybody knows the shite when they see the tape. The most imp thing how good they are in real time as they make calls when game is on line.

If Steve is so good, he would not have failed at OC 20 years ago and decides to stick to being TE coach.

If we start of the season 3-4, Alleva will be canned, and then Orgeron at the end of the year.

2018's schedule is brutal. i don't see how ensminger gets them any better than 8-4. that will set up an inferno hot seat for 2019. does ed really only want the job for 3 years?

Glenn Guilbeau will destroy the administration for this decision. He's the only one that called out the administration for the Orgeron hire.

Everyone else, from Dellenger to Doucet to Dixon to Rabalais, all hopped on the Orgeron train and have yet to get off.

He's a good ole boy. One of us. Forget that best money can buy bullshite O sold earlier. Prepare to be lied to continually until all of these "leaders" are purged and replaced with someone competent.

And I’ll say this. If you get Devonta Lee and Trey Palmer to go along with Chase and Marshall, that’s pretty exciting having Jerry Sullivan coaching those guys up.

Dude, Sullivan will soon be 74. Life expectancy is only 76 for men?? He wont be around to coach them in 4-5 years
