One less potentially bad hire I won't have to worry about. Whew

Thank God! I would have hard melted if he was an Auburn mystery hire.

Yep, there was a 2-3 day period where he had some smoke. Dark times.

Must be nice to have your team underperform and still get rewarded.

Y’all forget he’s at Kentucky

I’ve watched enough long, miserable Kentucky Football in my lifetime to know you don’t let that dude go.

Going to have an assistant fire sale in the off-season though.

At what point do these numbers start to stabilize?

Realistically, schools like Kentucky wont sniff the playoffs and schools are putting up these numbers. Boosters are just ok with that?

This. He will get 7 wins and this is a bad year. That's lifetime contract worthy at UK.

I understand this and think he's a heck of a coach

But that salary number encroaches upon elite territory that I'm just surprised to see Kentucky venture towards. That's a heck of a monetary commitment.

Why do you care how insanely wealthy boosters spend their money?

It's just a question. At some point the wealthy boosters are going to get sick of giving millions to a program that comes off as a waste.

Ie. Texas A&M

Nice canned response though

Lol what? I was curious as to why this seemingly bothered you. Sorry friend, didn’t mean to offend

I can assure you, the wealthy boosters I know have no plans of dialing back their spending. Also, all of the data suggests spending will continue to increase. For God’s sake, even little Ole Miss just put a nearly $10MM per year contract in front of Kiffin. We also just announced a $250MM facilities upgrade capital campaign - our most expensive ever.

Seems like you have some personal aversion to conspicuous spending, but there is nothing objective that indicates the spending will slow down as you’ve suggested.
