UT Board just went into executive session, I'm hearing that what BeingReal said is false. Powers will get a vote of confidence, but this is being seen as more of a "we still are you're boss" by the BOR, and powers will be on the get rid of mack bandwagon.

Patterson, sources say, is STUCK. He does NOT want to FIRE the coach but if forced to retain him into 2014 he would FIRE Mack Brown at the first sign the team was not a National Championship Contender and only provide the contract buyout, and NO more (Buyout is different as of Jan 1 2014 by the way). Bottom line, due to unintentional GAFF, Mack Brown now DOES have the final decision. UNLESS, Powers is terminated by the Board of Regents today. If that happens, Mack Brown will be fired tomorrow if he doesn't resign as the Board wants him OUT.

anyone have a recap of the twitter insiders or the Mack Brown press conference?

MB said nothing has changed with his situation. Then basically sucked up to the AD and President talking about how great they were and said that things change when you get a new AD. Said he needs to sit down with him and the President and talk about the direction the program was headed in. Oddly seemed like he was campaigning and begging to keep his job.

Anyone know who is getting Saban's lunch in Austin?

Quit being snarky. We don't how to respond anymore. We're gonna have to go back to calling it a meltdown. I know it doesn't make sense. Everyone just go with it.

Mack is trying to give the illusion that he is controlling his destiny. I am sure he wants a nice press conference announcement with current and former players surrounding him.

I can't imagine a scenario that Mack gets to coach one more year, but it would be GOLD if that happened!

He didn't say Powers would get canned. He said IF he does, Brown would be fired if he doesn't resign.

I don't know. Genro is fully vested at this point. BamaChick seems slightly unstable. MagicCity is definitely in full denial of reality, though.

This shite is out of control... If this doesn't go down with Brown being canned/forced out and Saban being hired, it will be the biggest clusterfrick ever.

I don't know whats going to happen, but I don't see it going this far down the rabbit hole without Saban coming out and shutting it down if there isn't some truth to it.
