Gruss on 247 just spoke. As credible as TBL if not more.

He said he's cautious about Riley, but thinks Riley is leaning towards LSU.

Seriously? It is General George S. Patton.

Bill O’Rilley wrote a great book series.

Killing Patton
Killing Jesus (read it & twas awesome)
… Killing Lincoln

Hmm… are you laughing at us on the rabbit trails?

ETA: I knew it was Patton … but was there any significance to the post?

Hit me with the emoji if I’m on track.

No. It's still cool that he posts paid board info for free, but it's pretty clear that's what he does and doesn't have any info himself.

His “non denial” presser today seemed like that.

Next week is when it will more than likely be a done deal. This is the part where it’s OUs turn. They are aware and are responding. They might throw the bank at him, they might not. They might try other tactics like leaks to media. Which you are seeing.

I don’t see this falling through though. Woodward has thrown everything at Riley and they have been is good conversations since early October.

This is making me queasy. Hard to fathom him double crossing Woodward, but those cocky writers, etc associated with Okie act like Riley's just so attached to his AD, President, you name it. I'm so sick of this!

I'm still sticking with my theory that Oklahoma already has a replacement in Bob Stoops. If they know he's ready to coach again, he's a great fit there as he has SEC experience at UF.

It’s not double crossing.

Riley has an offer from LSU

Nothing wrong with him asking OK if they can match.

Interesting reference. I submit the following for further discussion.

Of particular relevance:

quote:

“Have you ever read General (George) Patton’s book?” Gundy asked. “He was a firm believer that discipline is not as strong without profanity, that by being loud and boisterous and using profanity, it got the message across better than when you didn’t. Is there some truth to that? Probably.

Tulsaworld.com

Additionally :

quote:

The fact that he’s out of the General George S. Patton School of Leadership is an added bonus. You’d like to have someone like that on your roster for four years, but Riley will take every minute of Hurts’ leadership in 2019.
