Slade Nagle will be the new offensive coordinator for Houston, according to multiple reports.
Nagle served as LSU’s tight ends coach in 2024. He’s reuniting with Houston head coach Willie Fritz who he worked under in the same capacity at Tulane.
Under Nagle’s leadership, Mason Taylor caught 55 passes for 546 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Houston suffered through a 4-8 season in 2024 and ranked last in the country in scoring. Offensive coordinator Kevin Barbay was fired November 26.

BK Needs a real OC, a QB coach and Special Teams Coach because it's cost him 2 games a year with crappy FG Kickers, Bad Punters/Field position and no return game/covers...Besides Anderson's 1 return and a few punt returns this year for 8-10yds it's been non existent.

He is a horrible OC. Tulane had a TON of talent his ONE YEAR (he was not the OC in 2022 like Fritz has said) and Tulane had trouble scoring points. His offense basically consisted of a 4 yard pass to the TE or deep passes to our speedy WRS.

1 of our analysts coaches special teams. Only difference between that and a on the field coach is analysts can’t recruit. So no need to have an on the field coach for that. Now bringing in a better analyst…sure
