How much shite has Kelly got on this board for backing into playoffs and getting whipped in them especially by Alabama?
ND was done with Kelly because he could never get over the hump. They weren't going to pay him 5 million dollars more a year than Saban like LSU is doing. Its about the money and retirement, not the destination. If ND gave him that ridiculous contract, he would've stayed.

Yes. Times have changed. There is so much money in the sport that inflation of Coach salaries is happening.
People said LSU was “nuts” when it paid Saban 2M.
Now, USC and LSU pay 15m. The money is there. NIL is here, too. Economics change and the best change at the front not as a reaction.
The money is not the thing. Taking a ND coach that might be in the CFP this season is an ELITE thing.

You’re all a bunch of hypocrites and delusional losers. This hire is grasping so hard after Lincoln Riley made your AD and school look like complete buffoons.
You’re paying a 60 year old coach at the end of his career 15 million a year with golden parachutes to coach you and he’s never won a title. On top of it all he’s coached at literally the easiest place to win a title with the easiest path for the last 12 years. Major LOL

Good job and very typical. Last I checked Ark fans arent screaming children claiming our job to be some elite Mecca of college football. We are happy to get to a bowl after the last 5 years.
And ark beat your elite arse in your own stadium this year with far less talent. “Elite” jobs don’t have coaching searches every few years and go through complete disaster decades like lsu did in the 90s.

$15MM a year to keep the man from retiring? We’re just throwing money away. Sure, we will win 9-10 games a year, but I see no Natties, if things stay as they are. Alabama is great, & will be until Saban hangs it up. Ole Miss, Arkansas and even Moo State have their acts together, and are closing the gap. LSU, Auburn and Aggie will compete for the bottom tier. Unless their is a major coaching philosophy shift, we will not put up enough points to be in many of these games.

I don't understand how you aren't an elite program if the last 3 coaches have won national championships, 1 coach making 2 appearances in 4 yrs.
In-state talent really good and is almost locked down for 1 state school.
