Kelly would have jumped to coach at Arkansas for 15 million a year.

Arkansas couldn’t scrape together that kind of money. It’s not an elite program.

Regardless of the outcome or future success of this coaching staff, this hire significantly changed the landscape and perception of the program in a historic manner. The hire itself was a massive victory and will remain one in the annals of history.

Recruiting to notre dame is NOT easy with school admission standards there

This is such a bullshite cover

Notre dame requires athletes to have retained a 2.0 GPA for admission. The ncaa requirement is 1.8 and so is LSU. That’s not a “strict” academic standard. Don’t believe then look it up for yourself.

You guys were a Lincoln Riley dick pump for two months. Now a hes “scared”. Admit he spurned you and made you look like a fool. Your AD panicked and hired a guy that still won’t beat Bama. Good luck guys.

None of you kn this board wanted Kelly. Hell minutes before the news broke the board was filled with anti Kelly threads. You’re all a bunch of hypocrites and delusional losers

bullshite. That's willfully ignorant. You can check some of our post histories.

“Elite” jobs don’t have coaching searches every few years and go through complete disaster decades like lsu did in the 90s.

By that argument, there are no elite jobs.

And this will be the fourth coach in over 20 years. Care to look up stats at to what’s the average tenure is?

He’s making 2.7 million at notre dame .

That's his listed base salary. ND was paying him way more than that.

Yeah, literally NOBODY is comparing the Arkansas and lsu football programs in this thread. It’s fun to deflect the argument though.

Melt more. Also we got him for 9.5 million a year, not 15.

This is awesome.

$15MM a year to keep the man from retiring? We’re just throwing money away. Sure, we will win 9-10 games a year, but I see no Natties, if things stay as they are. Alabama is great, & will be until Saban hangs it up. Ole Miss, Arkansas and even Moo State have their acts together, and are closing the gap. LSU, Auburn and Aggie will compete for the bottom tier. Unless their is a major coaching philosophy shift, we will not put up enough points to be in many of these games

Too bad it isn’t 15 mil a year. Maybe you should wait for actual numbers before spewing your bullshite.

This is inaccurate. It’s 9 million for 10 years with incentives.

I was for O to be here. And all that happened was the best season in history and several years of top recruiting, as expected.
I have ZERO regrets about loving O love for LSU.
At the time, he was a great hire...remember, we had no one of significance interested because of the timing, etc

With in the last few days there was a comparison made between Florida… LSU…. USC
As to which one was the best job. Now we know. Kelly could have gone to any one of these.

Wait. You think if Alabama was hiring someone they would be paying less than that? Let’s say Bama was going after Dabo this year, you think his offer would be less than 15mill give or take?
