LSU has made home run hires at DC, DL and DL assistant. Who is the HR hire at DBs coach?

It’s got to be Travis Robinson from Bama or Chevis Jackson.

Huge difference in prestige between Travaris Robinson and Chevis Jackson. TRob is arguably the best DB coach in America.

I agree but Bama might be making T Rob a DC.
Chevis is an outstanding DBs coach.

Most likely. It’s not the most spectacular hire in my opinion (though he is more valuable at LSU than at any other program) but it’s not a bad hire for LSU mostly because he will assist in making sure no Louisiana recruit goes anywhere but to LSU if they want that recruit.

Because it would have already been announced
Im not even necessarily against the hire. If BK brings him back then that’s fine. My biggest frustration with him was holding us ransom for a raise/dc position year after year and one would think that’s done.
I just think if it was for sure going to be him he would have been the next after baker. He’s been sitting out there post Florida for a decent amount of time now

Outstanding DB coaches don’t typically get fired by Kansas. Regardless, his name has not even been tentatively mentioned as a candidate. CR is seen as the fallback option if we can’t land a bigger fish.

Travaris Robinson obviously has the track record at Alabama. Don't know much about Chevis Jackson other than as an LSU player. I still don't care much for Corey Raymond whose rating slid IMO near the end of his tenure at LSU and of course fired recently by Florida.

If Corey Raymond was going to be the hire it would have been done a week ago. It's obvious Kelly, nor Baker are crazy about him and are looking for better options. He may get the job but it will be like Bamas HC search. Might be the 3rd or 4th choice for them.
