Gordy is a Houston radio host, lsu alumn and hosts the locked in SEC pod. He's well connected at lsu.

I don't think anyone in this thread is well versed enough in the S&C coaching community to really judge this hire. We also have no idea if this podcaster knows anything.

And he coached at one of the best training facilities in the country in one of the best S&C areas in the nation in DFW, so people who actually have an interest in these types of things are relatively excited too. We need assistant S&C coaches FYI, I highly doubt he’ll be the head guy and someone with that pedigree would be a huge home run as an assistant

I trust Gordy. He has connections at lsu and across the sec. He's not just a Podcaster. He's a radio host on790 in Houston.
