Kelly may be trying to do a setup similar to what ND has with Balis and Flint

Are YOU bipolar or a hypocrite? You were spewing your retardation all over this board for weeks, dumbest poster on this site to be showing your arse and calling anyone else stupid. Gfy

Maybe it’s bad reporting, but also I don’t think Kelly is as hung up on experience as we are accustomed to
Strength & conditioning is a different world. Coaches want experience running a program.
Jacob Flint has been in S&C since 2007, for instance. And he’s not that old. They want guys that have been invested & have done trial runs many times over. I just don’t think this is the guy

but college sports programs, even the best ones, aren’t pioneering cutting edge S&C coaching methods

again you do not know wtf you are talking about. there are some cutting edge private facilities but dont act like the best schools are not on the cutting edge or sports science.

sorry but understanding how to run and train large groups and individualize programming and periodization is only something you learn by doing. LE is right you and you dont know a fricking thing.
prolly some fat frick who thinks because Gooden is ripped he knows what he is doing.
in the end Zavier will be hired as assitant at most.

Per S&C pay site message board:
"Gooden has made a name for himself by implementing a fusion method of Strength, flexibility and explosive power programming which integrates principles from classic power lifting, Olympic lifting, cutting edge diet techniques and martial arts programming from elite schools such as Cobra Kai dojo in Modesto California"

That would be my best guess unless Flint just said no? Why would he though?
Lol at the dude above who said college resume doesn't matter. Do you know what TM's resume was before he got to LSU? He literally was responsible for several NC running teams before he even got to LSU. His resume was every bit why LSU dumped money to get him here and kept him so long. His tree had many plucked off it for a reason.

Point me too all the 30yr olds with 2 summer intern gigs & 1 full year on a college staff as an assistant that are running P5 programs.
I’m not being a smartass, I’m very interested to see what type of results are yielded

He’s no OC, but everyone wanted younger coaches. The players might like him.

And I’m not knocking his work. But training individually and in short spurts for nfl combine optimization is not the same as training 100 kids year round for in-game strength & overall longevity

Gooden is not going to be the head strength coach. CTFO

I don't think anyone in this thread is well versed enough in the S&C coaching community to really judge this hire. We also have no idea if this podcaster knows anything.
All of this!
A week ago, this entire board thought Woodward was a bum and the head coaching search process was completely off the rails…until we all found out it wasn’t and it was all just Rant bullshite.
A week later and here we are again with the same hair on fire crazies losing their shite over and over because they don’t know every detail of what’s happening behind the scenes.
Settle down and let it play out.

I don't think we can discredit the fact that Gooden might just be hired to work alongside Flint as a 2nd "assistant S&C coach". Kelly's structure at ND was a Director of Football Performance, Director of Football Strength & Conditioning, & Assistant S&C coaches.
Have they announced Flint is staying at ND?
Also, Gooden was at least tied for 3rd/4th on the totem pole for USC S&C. He worked as an "Assistant Football Sports Performance coach" under their Director of Football Sports Performance, 2 Assistant DFSP.

Go post your gay arse linear progression on the Health and Fitness board guy
you’re the biggest bro science fake S&C “””guru””” on this website with your shitty fake programs
Never said that. I said that they’re not the ones pioneering it, which they’re not.
Kinda like how they do it at private training facilities? And oh yea, let’s completely leave out the context of this discussion where he has done those things at a major university’s program. Context is key, moron
Chill out on the roid rage, douche. Sorry that you’re a little roided up manlet who doesn’t get any pussy and you’re furious about it

Heard he's trying to pry Jason Blaha away from A&M. He invented the 5x5 program and can get players around steroid testing
