So is he a great recruiter or do those guys really just wanna play at ND?

I bet he doesn't bring one 4-5 star with him in this class. Not one.

ND is one of the schools that can recruit itself.

So is LSU.

I see we are setting up very realistic expectations of our new coach

Watch the movie Rudy. Kids play there for reasons other than fame and money

Some of them probably realize that a degree from ND is more valuable to them than leaving to play elsewhere.

Bunch of LSU players did too when O got fired. Some kids legit want to play for the school more than the coach. This is a big nothing story

Kids going to Notre Dame are going for more than just the HC. It’s the most storied program in the nation. Kids going to Oklahoma are going because of the head coach.

It’s refreshing to see he recruited a bunch of guys who know what commitment means. Shows high character and class.

The fact they don't want to leave Notre Dame ought to reinforce why it's such a coup for LSU to pull the guy who more games as Notre Dame head coach than anyone else. That's the positive way to spin it.

Lot of talk on this board about how great a recruiter he is, but the guys on the Irish Breakdown channel on YouTube seem to disagree. They were discussing the level of commitment to recruiting that is required at an SEC school. They said that he does not fit that mold. Could be sour grapes?
