I wouldn't be surprised if he promoted one of the coaches on staff. Now, I saw the Denbrock offense and play calling, but really, what else would you expect? WE finally adjusted and let Nussbaum turn it loose, so there's that as well.

The future given the recent offense recruiting and potential of Underwood will get the attention of 95% of potential OC hires.

The settled in, but the start wasn’t great. They also had a rough stretch in the 3rd that killed our momentum. I also was disappointed that they didn’t show any added creativity in the run game with Denbrock gone.
All that said, with all of the upheaval on the defensive side, I wouldn’t be shocked if Kelly wanted to keep some continuity going with the offense. I think Sloan showed he can be effective and he would have time to put his spin on the system. But not changing the playbook and terminology would be helpful with a new QB. Nuss has enough to figure out without an entirely new offense.
