Serious question here,how come Miles name is never brought up with these other teams?
Saban's name is brought up often because he has been a head coach at four different places in the last 12 years.

The good thing about the Texas job for older coaches is you don't have to leave the state of Texas to recruit. It's just a matter of identifying the 25 players in Texas you want and hope you don't miss or lose big time players to OU.

Chicken I think that's their starting offer - his offer has been $100 million for 10 since at least last year. Time is running out on him, so he may take $70 million guaranteed, but I think he'll sign a huge buyout (that will conveniently omit NFL - just a buyout if he goes to another college), and maybe take something in the $80 to $85 million range guaranteed - if he goes as low as $70 million, he'll have incentives he should have no problems making to get him to the mid $80s.

They $hit the money bed with the Longhorn network. Now, the question is: move on from Mack, wno is only 2 months older than Saban, to Saban who can win now, or identify the next big coach, and gamble he can stop the financial bleeding. Texas has more money than anybody - Sexton has been floating $100 million for 10 years since at least last year. I think Penn State kind of balked at that number, but I guarantee you Sexton has a number - and that number is high of what Bama is paying now. Bama can match anything Penn State may offer, but not Texas.
Mack has 1-2 seasons left, and 10 wins may not be enough to keep his job after 2012.
