It was confirmed today that Kirk Ferentz of Iowa is not interested in Michigan and it is not confirmed that he was even offerd the job. Now on to Miles. Reports that a deal has already been reached is wrong, Miles has not been directly talked to by Bill Martin, Michigan's AD. However, Miles and Michgan have informed eachother of their mutual interest. Sources say that Miles has a contractual agreement of some sort, where Miles can renegoiate his contract with a 10-win season. That kicks in next week. That means that Bill Martin needs to act fast, starting next week and all indications are, that he will because several in the Michigan Athletic Department and Regents are in favor of Miles. Knowing how badly Miles wants the job and people want him, a deal could be reached next week, but it isn't going to be cheap. As far as other coaches being mentioned, the guy from Rutgers and Wake Forest are being mentioned, and it seems that Brain Kelly's name from Cincinnati has been droped

Can someone please post some of the info from the Michigan board for those of us who are not subscribers?
Basically, today was the 1st day UM and Les had contact and they're gonna work on a deal quick to get him.

Ex LSU bigwig said Tuesday night, there has been no interest shown thus far by UM towards LM(which disheartens the ex bigwig..thinks LSU is stuck with LM,) and further adds SOS has zero interest in the LSU job from what he has heard.

I really hope to God this is all resolved by the end of next week and we have a new coach in place.

My two cents (assuming Les leaves)...If Saban is offered the job at his previous salary when he left, says that it was the biggest mistake he ever made leaving, and says the second biggest mistake was becoming the coach of the Tuscaloosa Trailor Park, then I could let bygones be bygones.
....And says that he is glad to be home.

You know, many on here have bitched about Bertman, but that man has loved LSU. He stayed here and built a tremendous baseball program, which I hope will start to rise back up. He was offered other jobs to coach elsewhere, but he knew that if you built a program at LSU you wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
Couldn't agree more. And it's ironic that as a football school, LSU's past two ADs have been non-football types. The first one, not so good. But Skip's done a fantastic job.

Snowy...and very cold today. Last winter sucked (no snow), but we're on pace for a good season this year.

One way or another, everything about LSU drains into Tigerdroppings. It's like a sewer

With a name like that he must be really smart

I just can't see Saban leaving Bama to come to LSU. We would have to have a substitute coach the next time we play Bama there. They would kill him.

That would be about as retarded as when the Saints hired Mike Ditka.
