But a "legit source" would at least know the names of the other coaches he/she is mentioning.

seem to be in the know are hinting that this is a three-dog race between Saban, Spurrier, and JDR. Correct?
This is correct, my source is a certain building off of Essen. There is a group of moneyied bosters who realize Miles is only an average to above average coach and want a great one.
I have to run for a metting in 10 minutes so any other questions will probrobly go un answered.

Knowing what we know now, however - and this is an extremely informed opinion (albeit still an opinion) - there's a very good chance Les Miles will be Michigan's next head coach. As we've said all along, he wants this job badly and will likely do what he can to make it work when things get moving next week (though again, he won't come cheap).
- this is NOT a done deal, and we are NOT reporting that Les is the next Michigan head coach. But we are confident enough to say that it is headed in that direction, and barring something unforeseen, we expect it to get done.
- We want to be careful here because we don't want to blow this for anyone. But there is very good reason to believe that Les Miles and Michigan will talk next early early next week. Not sure when the deal would be announced, but we would expect something to happen very soon. Barring something unforeseen, it is his job to lose.
There is an automatic renegotiation with LSU for a 10-win season, so Michigan has to act quickly. And they will. Today was the first day of contact, behind the scenes or otherwise (as we told you yesterday, there had still been none).

bilj, last night i read that LSU was gonna help miles shake his BR roots loose.
you think that meant that we're gonna let him out of his buy out?

Yep, I'm a bus boy there. I had the opportunity to clear the table next to where Lombardi, Sexton, and Frank Wicks where dining.
They left Skip in the car.
The beans were spilled. It will be decided by a last man standing cage match between Saban, SOS and JDR. Obviously JDR has a huge size advantage so as a handicap Saban gets coal miners glove and SOS gets a 9 iron.
