LSU had six on the line of scrimmage, because Dural was a yard back and Dupre was 2 yards back of the line. That's the call, Les said that both guys checked with the ref, but ultimately it's up to them to be lined up correctly.

Still a bunch of crap considering line of scrimmage calls should be made for linemen or players looking to get an advantage blocking, none of which affected that play.

that was not an option that was discussed with me, it might be an internal debate, but I don't think so. Basically it's go with it if you can, if not, go inside if you know early, and finally if it rains, so be it, play what you can and then go home.

I talked with Bonnette earlier, the game plan is to play and play it in Tiger Stadium.

They can play through light rain, but any heavy stuff they would move it indoors. That is assuming it starts before kickoff.

If they can kick it off outdoors, it's a done deal, they'll get what they can in and if it gets too bad they'll call it.

They want to keep it in Tiger Stadium.

There is no obligation to get the game in for TV sake either.
I think you're being as short sighted as the people you're trying to expose.

W/L doesn't have the same weight in this day/age of scheduling. You can set up a schedule to be successful and still fail as a program.

LSU changed their goals with their early 2000's successes. Therefore you can win 7 games and keep your % up and still be failing.

My answer to your question would be when those wins or losses stop/start coming against significant opponents in meaningful games.

Hypotheticals here, but I wouldn't argue to get rid of a coach who had one or even two 7-5 seasons with a track record like Les, but three years of 7-5 ball, which I would assume would put a school like LSU out of the conference championship running would make me want to make a change.

LSU has too many opportunities/resources available to dip below 8 wins on a consistent basis.

I know that didn't answer your question, but I think you've stacked the deck with history to make it an obvious non-answer.

To flip it around, how long can a coach trade on past successes in your book? Is it a lifetime contract for a national title?

Just wanted to jump in the pool too.
those four spots will be ads, they won't change, they're like the plastic sheet ads on bus stops or movie posters at the theater (backlit).

There will be a "ticker" like down and distance below the video you see there, so if I had to guess, maybe as little as an 1/8 to as much as a 1/4 of that would be eaten by the ticker. Probably from their socks down in that picture that we're looking at of the Auburn game.

I think it depends on how much they can utilize the video ribbon board. The point they wanted to make was that the LED portions of those screens will all be used for football, not ads.

Agreed on traffic, they really have to get together with city PD and SO to make a plan and make it consistent. I think that was the biggest problem, one week you could, next week you couldn't.

I'm excited to see what people think about the stadium, I think fans will get a kick out of it. It's just so different and really it happened in one off-season. That first game should be fun for long time fans.

Another cool thing that I don't think people have talked about, there are two "smaller" suites that can be rented out for game by game groups. Maybe gives people a chance at a suite experience who might have wanted one, but couldn't buy in for a season or longer.

Also upper deck fo SEZ will be offered to youth groups/etc for lower tier games at discounted prices, so that could be cool. Maybe like the party deck at Jerry World... but it is way up there, so who knows.
check this out

If it doesn't make sense let me know, the corner LEDs will be awesome, I don't know that anyone will bitch about them, unless you can't see them.

NEZ will still have it's detractors. I think the sound system will be a ??? It's the same as last year and it may sound great with the endzone closed in, but it was way too loud last year, so I'm holding off on judgement until it has a chance to get tweaked.

Restrooms and concessions are the next phase for TS.

The external suites along NEZ are a no go, too much hassle with asbestos and the door rooms are too small and unstable if you start to break them up.

Cellular service should be improved this year, with wifi improving next year, in part due to upgrades to system and also less people on wifi w/ improvements on cellular network. I asked if sponsors (Verizon) were was a hang up and he said no, they were great.

LED lighting will match the NEZ, they're working installation now.

They redid the NEZ scoreboard, down to the LSU "purple" color that they couldn't get with old provider (Daktronics)

I really think they did their best with this. Seems like a pretty solid ingress and egress to stadium, but I'm sure there will be hiccups.
Hate to jump in here and ruin everyone's win, but I think they are getting some ad space back, not the whole thing in the NEZ.

The info I got wasn't confirmed from sports properties, so I can't say that it's 100%, but my understanding was a portion of the LED ad space in the past is being given back by one sponsor, not all of them.

On a separate note, the lego bricks up top are not a finalized project. They are concessions and restrooms, but there are plans to address their aesthetics in the future. Nunez told me they will use the stadium this year as is, see how it works and then address further if needed.

I enjoy reading everyone's opinions, and apparently so does LSU Ath. Admin. It's a really cool feel to the stadium, completely different from just last season, I can't wait to see what it sounds like come GameDay.
how many people and how old are they? If you walk a lot, plan to eat in different parks and don't mind taking a break, then yeah park hop. If you're only going to do Disney this one time, then don't bother, hit each park for one day in this order MK, Epcot, HStudios, AnKingdom. HS and AK you can do in half a day if you're there early, the fireworks at HS suck, and nothing to see at night in AK.
I'll say this, I left talking to him with a completely different take than I went in.

Now I didn't fry fish with the guy, but just talking with him a little, it seems like he's matured, has some things in perspective and was really relaxed.

I was happy and proud for him that he's going to graduate next month.

re: My deodorant ruins shirts

had the same problem back in college, I switched from an anti-antiperspirant to a straight deodorant and that solved the problem. I use a combo of alternating days of speed stick and old spice. Maybe it would work for you, but I also wear an undershirt.
Lena Headley... I just put 2 and 2 together to realize she's the queen in 300.

She has some interesting things in the future of Cersei that I'll be anxious to see if they do in the series or not.
And now that I read most of these responses I realize you all must be 18-22 year old guys who have no kids or sisters with kids.

It's a hell of a lot harder than you can imagine, 1-2 days at home isn't the same thing as 24/7 for 365.

Can't wait until you get married and have some children running around, ask you wife if she LOVES staying at home.

:puts soapbox back up:
:prepares soapbox:

Maybe not 113K a year, but that is my grand sociological idea to re-establish the core of American values. Get rid of all of the current "social programs", and cap it at 1 child or 25 kids, the pay is the same.

Pay moms or dads to stay home and raise their children instead of having them away from the home unit to earn money instead.

Think about the decline in morals and standards over the last 40 years, how much of it is tied into single family homes where the kids raise themselves or fight it out in the streets. Not saying it would solve all of the countries problems, but I think it would go a long way towards adding some stability back in peoples lives. Of course it could be a complete failure, but I think would make a hell of a paper of exercise.
Love reading these responses. That team tonight? No way. No how. That defense would've buried whoever the QB was, and that passing attack would've shredded LSU's defense. That was some inspired football for 60 minutes. They looked like they were on a mission.
