I just watched his post game interview against FIU. Florida Atlantic won 37-7.

During the interview he looked dead beat and uninspired to be there. I don't know if that's his normal body language but he looked like he is ready for a bigger challenge.

That's all I got...

He'd be a great hire for someone.

He’s been chugging margs at the resorts out there at hitting the buffet. He’s probably happy there but would for sure jump on a big job

He's single, living on the coast of Florida, making a million bucks a year at a job where hes just got to win 6 games a year to avoid any heat on him.

He has always struck me as looking pretty care free, which could be taken as uninspired.

He has it pretty good right now though. Nice location, low pressure job, etc. I would like for us to give him some sort of offer. I know he has always held our HC position in high regard and has wanted it before.

My only reservation really is the press conference or off the field stuff. We dealt with it in Petrino and dealt with it BIGLY with Bert. Wouldn't mind a coach who stayed off twitter and just kept his trap shut. Don't think we would get that with Lane. In the end, I would not object to him taking our job.

He may be ready to move on, but this sounds like his normal body language.

Remember the promo video he did when first got the job? He looked like he had gotten out of bed with a hangover 15 minutes before they shot it.

Yep sounds about right. Not sure why everybody s so enamored with this dude. He's left Oakland, Knoxville, LA, and Tuscaloosa in bad graces.

Exactly, people say someone else should hire him, not their school.

He's a sideshow. People like him because he's a spectacle but no one actually wants him running their team. They like to watch him from afar.

His people contacted Arkansas within a few hours of the job officially coming open, and our AD tried to hire him at Houston before.

Safe to say Lane wants out and Arkansas is a potential landing spot. His dad coached there when Lane was a kid as well.

Baggage is not an issue. All we care about with this search is finding a winner.

btw, our AD almost hired Kiffin at Houston

He finally stopped failing upwards.

I suppose in a sport where Petrino and Hugh F have jobs a school could do worse but I don't see why a school with options would make that kind of reach.

I mean, Kiffin is not an awful head coach. Arkansas (or whoever) could do a lot worse. Give him some experienced assistants and he can be very successful.
