Wondering if Saban is telling him to be finding another job?

LINK

They say a longshot for the job, but putting it out there.

He will not be back at Alabama next year. He will be coaching somewhere else.

I don't know why he would.

He's unlikely to get a legitimate HC at the college level. He's unlikely to be an OC at the NFL level. There aren't many universities that can afford to pay the way Alabama can.

IMO, Kiffin isn't leaving unless he gets canned. There are very few options for him, and virtually none are going to be better than his current job.

The poster is insinuating that Saban has told Kiffin to look for a new gig. Pretty common from the respectable coaches.

I don't see him staying at Bama. He had a handshake agreement with Saban for 2-3 yrs. I think he leaves but it won't be an ugly type of deal. JMO

Kiffin is still learning under Saban. Give him another year and then he'll be gone. None of the openings right now are a fit for him and I think he needs to coach at a smaller school to apply everything he has learned before diving into a mess.

I agree with this. I think next year is his last at Alabama. I think he wants to get one of the QB's he has brought in on the field as well.

Why would Saban tell him look elsewhere? Hasn't Kiffin worked out fine

What a disaster he would be there. He failed at usc...why would he succeed at a worse job in a harder division?

I think he has the tools to be a good HC, if he has learned from Saban how to keep his mouth shut, he has a lot of upside.

I think he's back for one more year. The OL needs to be more consistent for his offense to work.

Kiffin's got to stay for at least one more year, if only to go up against USC.

He's been pretty good Bama. He instinctively wants to go for the big play, but he's settled down and started to figure things out for this offense.

But he's still my last choice to replace Saban, from his former assistants, with a legit opportunity to be a HC.
