why can’t LSU tab a guy like this?

You want the full version or just the highlights?

because Lane Kiffin is an offensive minded coach who can take over and not completely crash if it doesn’t work.

O is a DLine coach.

LSU is the equivalent of "Entry Level Position. Must have 5 years of field related experience" at this point.

I read this as Lane getting more of his system in.

This will be interesting. Huge change from Briles's system to what Lane does (and I presume what this kid will do).

Lane is the play caller. Weis will do the flunky work and organizational stuff and learn. Not that bold when you think of it. Kinda like Pete Carmichael of the Saints - only less tenured.

Bold move.

It's no more bold than Saban hiring a younger DC - Kiffin's the OC, period.

That's what having a guru on one side of the ball does for you in the HC spot (for better or worse).

LSU doesn't need 24 year old coordinators, let them put in their time & prove themselves at a place like FAU first.

They hired Coach O brah. Not sure they care if a coach has proved himself or not.

The last time Ensminger was an OC, I don't even think this dude was born yet.

Where did I say Saban was a genius for hiring him as an analyst? I just said he must think a lot of his potential to have such a young guy as an analyst.

Or maybe it’s a favor Saban did for weis sr, they’re both from the belichek coaching tree so pretty safe to assume they have at least a professional relationship.

I would bet their offense is top ten next year. Being young doesn't mean you don't know how to call plays. Lane is probably very hands on with the offense so he can help him with development and everything.

Apparently the only real qualification to being on the lsu offense's coaching staff is you must be in AARP. So he won't make the cut.

He just hired him because he wants Jr's girlfriends to be hanging around.

Not that bold for Kiffin. He’s already regarded as one of the better offensive minds in college football. Adding a young kid to his staff isn’t that big of a deal because Kiffin can always guide him in a direction he wants to see.

Great for the kids career though. Learn from Kiffin and get as far away from your fathers name as possible
